Working With Me
I tend to work well with people who want more from therapy than simply being told how to cope.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 13 years of clinical experience. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the United States Marine Corps, spent years in the corporate world, and had my own experiences with recovery and significant life transitions.
Those experiences influence the way I practice. I value practical solutions, personal responsibility, psychological insight, and understanding the deeper patterns that can keep otherwise capable people stuck.
My work draws from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, depth and Jungian psychology, and other approaches when useful. I don't believe every person needs the same kind of therapy. We figure out what is actually happening, what is maintaining it, and what is most likely to help.
